The exact playbook how 2 social media posts made me 5000 E

This is the story and exact playbook how 2 social media posts made me 5000 E. Both clients were in my network but we did not really know each other. I can confidently claim: this was not a coincidence.

I teach all my clients Social Selling and there is no advertising involved. By simply posting high quality content on the right social medium, you can totally attract clients. How great would it be if your inbox is filling up with messages “I want to work with you”.

That is our goal. In this article I explain the Playbook for Social Selling.

Playbook for social selling 1: Increase your reach by adding your ideal customers to your network.

(And no, that does not make you annoying and can be done in a non-sleazy way. )

I make it my business to add people to my network regularly. More connections means 👉 more people see my posts.

That is how it works. More traffic leads to more sales.

Many of my clients are not sure what to send people they don’t know. I always provide them with cheatsheets. In general, I would advise to add a little humor in your note. You can say something like:

You don’t know me, but I will keep my fingers crossed that you accept.

Other strategies that work are mentioning what you have a in common or delivering some kind of value.

I try and deliver value in all my posts. This week I added an informational post on LinkedIn how simple tweaks to your message can lead to a 5% increase in traffic. Last week I explained the infamous leaking bucket.

I am not afraid to showcase what I know. If you have the right clients watching, they will be triggered by your message sooner or later.

using automation with care

Playbook for social selling 2: Showcase your expert status on social media to make customers come to you.

I promised you the story how 2 posts generated 5000 E in organic sales. In the niche Value Proposition Design and Scaling up, I want to be a leader.

Leaders take stands, they are not afraid to challenge quo. That is why I try to show how I do things differently. I take great pride in my implementation work. The fact that I provide helpful templates combined with a strategy, differentiates me from many of my competitors.

Generic messaging does very little for lead generation. And it does absolutely nothing for your expert status.

So please remove these kind of blogposts from your website immideately:

- 10 generic, can be found anywwhere tips to improve your email marketing

- Write this text for the perfect website (does this really solve a problem??)

- The value of analytics (Really?!)

This is not what experts would post. You can find this kind of content everywhere on the Internet! It is bad content marketing. Not what we want for your business!

Playbook for social selling 3: Show that you understand their problem and know how to solve it.

Let's have a look at the blogposts above. Because they can be used to get paying customers. But you have to zoom in on their problem.

These headlines are much better.

- How a deepdive in Analytics delivered my customer more leads than ever before

- My customer reviewed their emailmarketing with us an locked in 5 deals in less than 30 days.

Always be solving problems. Show your clients that you understand their needs.

And show them that you can deliver a solution.

Clients literally said: "you offer exactly what I need".

And now you might think: Wow, that makes sales easy.

But I do not see it this way.

There is only 1 goal in a sales meeting (in my opinion): find out what the problem is and if you can solve it.

So I said to my leads: "let's first check what you really need. So I am convinced that working with you indeed delivers the results you need."

Playbook for social selling 4: Never become obsessed with the sale.

Focus on the problem and the result. You want happy customers to try and help everyone.

Are you triggered?

Do you feel like you need expert help to improve your value proposition? Create an offer that sells?

Then maybe we should talk (I do not waste your time).
